What does dry hire mean?
This means that you operate the machine yourself after training on pick up. It’s very easy!! You have to be over 18 years old. Please note: The nostalgia cart is not available for dry hire

How long is a dry hire?
All dry hires are for a 24 hour period.

Can you supply someone to operate the machine for me?
Absolutely. This is an operated hire. The minimum time is for 3 hours. One of our operators will arrive with all the necessary equipment, set up, operate and then clear up and go at the end of your event.

Do you supply everything?

Fairy Floss - You get the mix, sticks and the machine.

Popcorn - You get the pre-popped buttered salted popcorn, the warmer, serving bags and scoop.

Sno Cones - You get the shaver and collection box with all the serving equipment, cone cups, spoon straws and flavours. We DO NOT supply the ice.
The only other requirements for all machines is a table to put the machine on and a power point.

Where do I get the ice from and how much do I need?
Ice can be purchased from your local supermarket, petrol station or convenience store. 10 kg of ice will usually make about 50 serves of sno cones. I will advise you more when you book



Can I chose the colour of the fairy Floss?
You sure can. You can choose from Pink, Blue, Orange or Green. If there is no request for a particular colour you will receive pink.

How does the popcorn warmer work?
The warmer warms the pre popped popcorn to give it is that extra special taste. You place the popcorn into the warmer wait about 15 minute and voila, you have delicious popcorn.

Do I need a special power point?
No. A normal 10amp point is fine. We supply you with a 20 meter extension lead on all hires. All we ask is no double adapters or power boards.

My party is at a park. I don’t have power nearby?
You can hire a generator to run the machines. Each machine needs a 5.5Kva generator.

Why do I have to pay a bond on dry hire?
The bond is $200 cash per machine. You will be issued with a receipt and the bond will be returned to you once the machine is returned clean, in working order and any other requirements have been met.
